Michael Jackson has inspired millions of people all across the world with his artistic, creative genius, passion and love. He has inspired me to be a better person. To "believe in myself no matter what it's going to take. I can be a winner if I keep the faith." To "take a look at myself and make that change." To "heal the world" and "make it a better place." To embrace who I am. To be the best that I can be. Strive to do and become better. I will forever be a fan of this legend of music and dance. I will forever be inspired by his talent and dedication. I am grateful for the joy his music has brought to my life. I am grateful to have learned the TRUTH about him, that he was a wonderful, loving, compassionate man.

Today's song, This Is It, released with the documentary of the same name back in 2009, is dedicated on this special anniversary (the Diamond Celebration) on this special day. I wish I could be somewhere celebrating with other loyal, hard-core Michael fans around the world. I wish I could be in Gary, Indiana where he was born or in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Cirque du Soleil Michael Jackson ONE show or at a tribute concert, anything! I wish I was with people who love and respect him the same way I do. All I can do is wear my new MJ shirt with pride, listen to his music and dedicate this birthday post to him. This Is It. Today is the day we remember and commemorate the life of a legend and an icon who will live forever! No one will ever come close to the influence Michael had on the music industry. He left his mark forever on this world! I wish he was still with us. I wish he was celebrating his 60th birthday with his family. I love you Michel Jackson! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! You truly were a diamond, made more beautiful and bright from the pressures society placed on your young shoulders and by the weight you carried all of your life! Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your talents with us! They will never be forgotten. They will go on to inspire and impact future generations forever! LONG LIVE THE KING!

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling. Being weighed-down by the burdens and challenges life brings to each and every one of us.
