Grateful for Music Challenge 2017!

It's that time of year again.....the Grateful for Music Challenge is BACK!!

I have to admit, I was listening to Christmas music today.....but just because I've gotten an early start with listening to Christmas songs doesn't mean I'm going to start posting any (even though there are so many new, good Christmas tunes I'm so excited to share! I might have to start my Christmas advent earlier this year - like the day after Thanksgiving!). But let's get this challenge started!

This song has been my jam lately! I'm obsessed. I really should save this for my Month of Love Songs Challenge, but I've been listening to it so much lately, I've decided to just go ahead and post it now. This song is so sweet and romantic, I hope it happens to me someday. Though I have to admit, thinking of myself ever having a romantic connection is depressing and hard for me to imagine ever happening. It's been something I've been thinking about a lot lately and it just makes me want to cry. Ed Sheeran is so talented and writes really good stuff. I'm grateful for people who share their talents with the world and bring a little spark of joy to people's lives, at least my life. Music is JOY. And I'm so grateful for music that brings me JOY because joy, true joy is hard for me to feel on my own.

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling. Being weighed-down by the burdens and challenges life brings to each and every one of us.
