HAPPY HANSON MONTH!!

I can't believe I haven't said anything about this here yet but guess what!?!?

I AM GOING TO HANSON DAY 2017!!!
IT'S REALLY HAPPENING!!!

As you can see, my blog has been "Hansonized" in honor of Hanson Day (May 6th), Hanson Day 2017 (May 18th-20th) and because Hanson is launching a worldwide tour beginning this June "THE MIDDLE OF EVERYWHERE WORLD TOUR" celebrating 25 years as aband! 25 years! They're as old as me! The fact that I get to go be a part of such an iconic and HUGE year for Hanson (celebrating the 20th year of MMMBOP!) is just so exciting!!

From now until May 17th (the day I fly out for Hanson Day!) I am going to dedicate each and every single one of my posts to my boys, Hanson! I want to celebrate them while also helping get myself ready for my Hanson Day weekend by listening to their music all month long :)

So let's kick things off with my all-time most favorite Hanson song ever:

Strong Enough to Break

I can't believe I haven't posted this song yet! This song resonated with me the first time I heard it. I fell in love with it because I related to it so personally. To me, this is a song about overcoming. Whatever obstacle or trial you are facing in your life, you can overcome. You can be strong enough to break a bad habit. You can be strong enough to break an addiction. You can be strong enough to break a fear. I love, love, love the lyrics! They are so metaphorical and are just the perfect descriptions of the battles and difficulties we all face while trying to "overcome." For me, I am trying to overcome fear. Anxiety. Depression. This song inspires me! This song is my go-to anthem in the face of my fears! I will love this song forever! It has imprinted itself on my heart. It's message is one that I have applied to my life and that I desire to share with anyone who needs it, which is EVERYONE! Please enjoy this incredible song. I hope it touches you the way it has me.

I don't feel myself today
Just a figure in a big monopoly game
Struggle is the price you pay
You get just enough just to give it away
I'm sinking but I'm floating away
Throw me a line so I can anchor my pain

The fabric is about to fray
The fabric is about to fray

Maybe you could take a look at yourself lately
Maybe you could take a look at yourself lately
Maybe you could take a look at yourself lately

Things keep coming and I keep wondering
I start feeling the walls close in
Things keep coming and I keep stumbling
I start feeling I'm strong enough to break
Oh, I start feeling I'm strong enough to break

Been running through my mind today
Scenarios to add to your hypocrisy
No one ever takes the blame
But everyone is searching for a cure to the pain
Nothing ever seems to change
Oh, nothing ever seems to change
We just play like broken records in a deaf man's charade

Maybe you could take a look at yourself lately
Maybe you could take a look at yourself lately
Maybe you could take a look at yourself lately

Things keep coming and I keep wondering
I start feeling the walls close in
Things keep coming and I keep stumbling
I start feeling I'm strong enough to break
Oh, I start feeling I'm strong enough to break

I start feeling I'm strong enough to break

Carry on just a pawn and the same old song
I'm still holding on

The fabric is about to fray

Maybe you could take a look at yourself lately
Maybe you could take a look at yourself lately

Things keep coming and I keep wondering
I start feeling the walls close in
Things keep coming and I keep stumbling
I start feeling I'm strong enough
Things keep coming and I keep wondering
I start feeling the walls close in
Things keep coming and I keep stumbling
I start feeling I'm strong enough to break
Oh, I start feeling I'm strong enough to break

I really hope they play this song at Hanson Day!! I want to hear it live!!
