Palm Sunday
Today is Palm Sunday. Today marks the first day of the last week of the Savior's mortal life. Jesus Christ rode into Jerusalem on the back of a donkey (as prophesied by prophets of old. See: Isaiah 62:11 and Zechariah 9:9). Many people laid fine linen, clothing and large palm tree leaves on the ground in front of Jesus as he triumphantly rode into the city shouting out "Hosanna! Blessed be the King!" They loved Him. They showed their love through their cries of joy and through their humble acts of wanting to provide a welcome fit for a King.
This week I want to really focus on my Savior, particularly the events that led to His Crucifixion and Resurrection.
One way I can show my love for my Savior is by: reading and studying about Him and His life each and every day. I can spend more time with Him instead of the world. I can spend my time learning from Him instead of browsing the Internet and reading the latest gossip online. I can spend more time in the scriptures than on my phone.
Read: Matthew 21:1-11
"And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest." - Matthew 21:9
Happy Easter Week 2017!
