I saw a tweet (from Hanson) about their buddy Michelle Branch's new single "Hopeless Romantic" (Hanson Fun Fact: Michelle Branch collaborated with Hanson back in 2004 on their song "Deeper" which is featured on their album Underneath). I haven't listened to it yet so I'm kinda throwin' things back to my New Song Challenge from last month! Also, a Michelle Branch song was featured during that week so it's kind of fun to see that she has some new music coming out. The title is what intrigued me the most .... if I've said it once I've said it a hundred times I am a hopeless romantic!! I'm excited to give today's song a listen and I hope I'm able to connect with it on a deep level and it can be my jam for this month :)

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling. Being weighed-down by the burdens and challenges life brings to each and every one of us. When we stop and allow ourselves to "give in" to the pain and sadness that comes with the stress of life, that's when we begin to slip and fall into a deep depression.
