Bad Day

Song: Bad Day
Artist: Daniel Powter

Yesterday and today have been really bad. Absolutely NOTHING like my past two experiences. I am mortified and humiliated beyond compare. A twelve year old knows how to drive better than I do. My confidence is completely wiped. I feel sick. And so incredibly anxious. It's cold and grey and snowy. I feel that way inside. I want nothing more than to go get into MY bed and stay there for a week! Maybe for the rest of my life. I'm so over all of this!! I clearly wasn't cut out for this kind of life. I belong back in a time when women were seen, not heard, married off when they reached a certain age and when there was most definitely NO CARS!!! Maybe I'm being dramatic but I honestly can't help it. I don't know how to let things go and calm down and move forward. When I get embarrassed or anxious or upset there is literally nothing I can do but wait until my body decides to start feeling normal again. And then I sink into a depression that lasts who knows how long. This life isn't a life worth living. I don't believe in myself. I don't think I'm worth anything. I hate myself. I'm an embarrassment. I'm pathetic. I hate myself. And that's the truth. I can't ever let anything go. I can't ever just laugh things off and move forward. I can never get anything right. I'm the biggest loser in life and I'm done. I'm done trying just to fail. I'm done thinking and believing that things can change or I can change and life will get better. Because it won't. And I really believe that.

Where is the moment we needed the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
They tell me your blue skies fade to grey
They tell me your passion's gone away

And I don't need no carryin' on

You stand in the line just to hit a new low
You're faking a smile
with the coffee to go
You tell me your life's been way off line
You're falling to pieces every time

And I don't need no carryin' on

'Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

Well, you need a blue sky holiday
The point is they laugh at what you say
And I don't need no carryin' on

You had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day

(oh, on a holiday)

Sometimes the system goes on the blink
And the whole thing turns out wrong
You might not make it back and you know
That you could be well, oh, that strong
And I'm not wrong

(yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)

So where is the passion when you need it the most
Oh, you and I
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost

'Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
You've seen what you like
And how does it feel for one more time
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

Had a bad day
Had a bad day
Had a bad day
Had a bad day
Had a bad day
