Letters in the Mailbox

Song: Letters in the Mailbox
Artist: Hanson

Haven't posted a Hanson in a LOOOOOOOOOONG time! It's about time (haha, that's a Hanson lyric! I didn't even do that on purpose!) that I posted one again. Today's song is a little silly because I thought of it after mailing actual letters today! I hand wrote and mailed some letters to some people I really miss. And this song popped into my head. Also, some of these lyrics are actually pretty applicable with my current thoughts and feelings about these particular people. And honestly, there has been something so fun about doing this! Actually writing out a letter to someone with paper and pen. Really thinking about the person and writing out what it is you truly love and appreciate about them. Writing out their address, the return address, sticking on the stamp and licking the envelope shut. Then walking to the mailbox and dropping the letters in, one by one. Knowing that there is no turning back now. Those people are going to get a heart-felt, hand-written letter from you! I can only hope they appreciate it. Because it actually takes a lot of work to do that!! Anyway, I figured I needed to post something a little more light and...happy, haha. I've been a real downer lately but I can't help it! It's how I've honestly been feeling. And the reason I've been so good at posting a new song every day this month! Music speaks for me and I've been using it to cope with all of the crap I've been experiencing and feeling lately.

ALSO: on a HANSON related note, their *NEW* EP Play was just released today and of course, I already have it purchased, downloaded and on my itunes and synced to my ipod for my listening pleasure :) It is FANTSTIC! I've only been able to listen to it once so far but it's already left me wanting to listen to it again and again! Can't wait to have new Hanson tunes! I've waiting for them since MAY! Especially the song 'Feeling Alive.' It's been worth the wait! Hanson ROCKS! Own it today! You will not be disappointed :)

Gone away, you left me all alone
The only thing I got from you was your dirty t-shirt and hose
Every day I sit here by the phone
And listen to your message
You didn't leave a forward address

(Oh, oh) Trying to move on
(Oh, oh) The magazines keep piling up
(Oh, oh) Happiness is gone
I've got to pull myself together
Letters in the mailbox for you

I paid your bills, every one on time
I just got the notice your favorite uncle just died
And a name that I don't recognize
He says he loves you
Another day, I can't leave us behind

(Oh, oh) Trying to move on
(Oh, oh) The magazines keep piling up
(Oh, oh) Happiness is gone
I've got to pull myself together
Letters in the mailbox for you

Letters they keep coming back...

I keep returning to sender, to sender
Still they keep coming, still they coming back
I keep returning to sender, to sender
Still they keep coming, still they coming back
Now I'm just burning your letters, letters
Still they keep coming, still they coming back

Another day, I can't leave us behind

(Oh, oh) Trying to move on
(Oh, oh) The magazines keep piling up
(Oh, oh) Happiness is gone
I've got to pull myself together
Letters in the mailbox for you

Letters they keep coming back....

I keep returning to sender, to sender
Still they keep coming, still they coming back
I keep returning letters, letters
Still they keep coming, still they coming back
Now I'm just burning your letters, letters
Still they keep coming, still they keep coming back
Now I'm just burning your letters, letters
Still they keep coming, still they keep coming back
I keep returning to sender, to sender
Still they keep coming, still they coming back
