I JUST ORDERED "BOXES" BY THE GOO GOO DOLLS!!! I AM SO EXCITED!!!
 
This song is the single off of their *new* album and I was in love the first time I heard it playing on the radio. I remember listening to it and thinking to myself "Is this the Goo Goo Dolls?" After hearing that it was, I wondered if maybe it was an older song of theirs since I didn't recognize it. I looked them up on itunes later and there they were, with brand-spankin' *NEW* music!! I was THRILLED! And coincidentally I had just been thinking to myself "Wow, the Goo Goo Dolls haven't had any new music since 2013. I wonder when they'll have something new out." I love happy coincidences :)
 
This song is incredibly powerful and inspiring to me. I love the lyrics and the over all message. It's all about being alive. Overcoming the "enemies" in your mind. Being the best version of yourself that you can be. Never giving up on yourself. Taking risks, challenging and pushing yourself to the limit. Seeing what you can become. Seeing your potential. Those are all themes that mean a lot to me. I struggle with self-esteem issues and I live with so much fear. I have NO confidence AT ALL. The music video was an inspiring visual. Overcoming yourself: your doubts, your fears, your weaknesses. Freeing yourself from them and feeling alive! It's so beautiful!! I LOVE IT!!!

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling. Being weighed-down by the burdens and challenges life brings to each and every one of us.
