I came across this beautiful "Christmasfied" rendition of Hallelujah by Lindsey Sterling today. The music video is genius. The way the people seem to be too caught up in the hustle and bustle of every day life (and the craziness the holidays can bring) to notice the small nativity. Too busy to notice the Savior, who is the true gift of Christmas. Even when we don't see him, remember Him, think of Him or even believe in Him, He is there. He is always there. Please watch until the very end of the video, when Lindsey shares a heart-felt message. It made me cry. I am going through the very thing Lindsey refers to that she herself experienced. It's hard, difficult and painful and at times you feel utterly alone. But we are never, ever alone. The Savior is always there! He loves each one of us. He sees the beauty within each person. Young or old, rich or poor, black or white, educated or uneducated, beautiful (according to the worlds standards) or "not beautiful enough", large or thin, regardless of disability, race, sexual orientation, or how many mistakes we've made, sins we've committed, he loves us. All of us. He wants us to know that. He wants us to remember Him. He wants us to love Him too. HE is the GIFT.

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling. Being weighed-down by the burdens and challenges life brings to each and every one of us.
