I love this song. It is so beautiful and touching. I can picture Mary, sitting atop a donkey silently pondering some of these thoughts as she makes her journey to Bethlehem. Wondering why she was chosen. It must have seemed like an overwhelming responsibility and I'm sure she felt self-conscious and worried she wouldn't be good enough. I love Mary. She seemed to be such a sweet soul. She was obviously something special, being hand-chosen by the Lord to be the mother of the Savior of the world. Mary seemed to be very thoughtful. She was not out-spoken. Rather she "....kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart." (Luke 2:19). She was thoughtful, loving, caring and brave. Courage is definitely a word that comes to mind when thinking of this valiant woman.

 

 

I have traveled many moonless nights
