This is one of those "Please don't judge me" type of songs! This song is from one of mine and my siblings favorite, cheesy movies from growing up, The Thief and the Cobbler. We mainly just loved the Thief, we thought he was hilarious! I also really loved Princess Yum-Yum though, I thought she was so pretty and she always reminded me of Princess Jasmine.

 

 I was randomly singing this song today in the shower and as I thought about the lyrics, I found myself really relating. My most favorite songs are those I can relate to and feel a powerful connection too. One line in particular that stood out to me was: Outwardly she's free, inwardly she's bound. On the outside, I may seem free. Like I can do anything. Like I have so many opportunities I can (and should) take advantage of. I'm sure people question privately to themselves what I'm still doing here. With hardly a job, no relationship, no college education. Well, that's where the inwardly she's bound part comes into play. On the inside I am terrified of the future! I feel so stuck in my web of fears and doubts and I can't escape them. I'm truly bound.
