Down

Song: Down
Artist: Hanson

I should just re-name this blog as "Hanson is my Therapy." It would be more appropriate. I am so thankful I discovered these guys. They have seriously changed my life and their music is what is keeping me strong this last little while. Life is crazy and is not getting any easier, that's for sure.

This song describes my mood perfectly right now! I mean, I fell in love with this song the second, the very second, I heard it! I related to this song so much. I love listening to this gorgeous song and hearing those incredible harmonies. Voices of angels.

I'm feeling so overwhelmed and just "down" (no pun intended) right now and I can't "pull up anymore."

Ooh heyyy hey (I start to go down) ooh

I thought I had you raking the coals
Underneath this lonely man's soles
Why can’t you just let it all go?
Then I, start to go down

I heard him say, "life is joke"
Well his laugh burned like acid rain smoke
Why can’t you love what you don’t know?
Then I start to go

Down, down, down
Way too low
Start to go
Down, down, down
Can’t pull up anymore
Won’t you come down?
Down, down, down down

I heard me say, "what's it worth?"
You just get pain for all your life’s work
I’ll just crawl into my black hole
Then I start to go   **
(This verse really hits home with me. Zac is amazing! LOVE his voice!!)

Down, down, down
Way too low
Start to go
Down, down, down
I can't pull up anymore
Won’t you come
Down, down, down
Way too low
I start to go
Down, down, down
Can’t pull up anymore

Superman’s covered in rust
All of my dreams gone bust
This time I’ve fallen down
Stuck in this rut
Maybe I’ll try falling up
Cause I’ve fallen far enough

^Another AMAZING part of this brilliant song that gets me every time. Their harmonies are out of this world and the "Superman's covered in rust...." bit has been running through my head all day. Sooooooo beautiful.

I start to go
Down, down, down
Way too low
I start to go
Down, down, down
Can’t pull up anymore
Won’t you come
Down, down, down
Way too low
I start to go
Down, down, down
Can’t pull up anymore

Won’t you come down
Won’t you come down down down down
Won’t you come down
Ooh
