This is such a beautiful song! And so appropriate for the Sabbath day. I've been having an extra hard time lately. My self-esteem is dangerously low and I have a really hard time loving myself. I tend to focus the majority of my thoughts on my faults; rather than on my strengths. It's like I have decided that my weaknesses define me because I have so many. But then I think, EVERYONE has weaknesses! We are all human. My weaknesses might be different from someone else's but that doesn't make me any less of a PERSON. I have been allowing myself to feel sorry for myself because of all the time I spend hating on my weaknesses and what makes me inferior to those around me. I begin to tell myself that "I CAN'T do it" when the truth is "I WON'T do it."

I love this song because it reminds me of who I am. I am a daughter of God and he KNOWS me. He LOVES me. He BELIEVES in me. He sees me for who I can become. He sees the BEST in me when I see the WORST. He sees my BEAUTY when all I can see are my flaws and how I can cover them up. I know that my Father in Heaven and Savior Jesus Christ love me with a COMPLETE and PERFECT love. They KNOW WHO I AM. They are happy for me when I reach a goal. They cry for me when I am sad and lonely and can't see my self-worth. They so want me to love myself. They want me to be HAPPY. "....men are, that they might have JOY." (2 Nephi 2:25) Life isn't supposed to be easy. It's a test. But we are not alone on our journey. There are times I feel so terribly alone. When I feel like no one knows the real me, not even my own family, because of my fears and self-doubt. But I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ do. I am so thankful for this knowledge. I wish EVERYONE could know this for themselves. I wish everyone could feel the peace that comes from believing in that kind of individual love.

I hope this song fills your heart with peace and with love as it does mine each time I listen to it. Really listen to the words. Lyrics are so powerful.
