So, Zac Hanson is hilarious if you didn't know. And he is a genius at coming up with super random, super silly songs and has compiled them into two albums known as Digital Pants and Super Digital Pants. I don't own either of them, but I have enjoyed watching the videos and listening to the songs that he shares via the Hanson.net blog. For example, his Turning 21 video changed my life! Haha!! I turned 21 the year I found it. It was fate. Jet Lag is one of the funniest videos I have ever seen! And his More To Love song/video ..... I just watched it again a few days ago and I was DYING! It is hysterical and made me laugh and smile and just made me so happy! It's great! And so fitting for me! I hope my future husband feels/thinks the same way Zac does when it comes to food and my love of eating it, lol! (*FYI: You have to be a Hanson.net member to view the videos I mentioned above.....I highly recommend you do so.....if only to see More To Love ..... and Jet Lag ..... and heck, Turning 21 too!*).
Anyway, I actually just listened to this song (Signs of Life) for really the first time a few days ago. I was a fan/member back when he released it but I never really gave it much thought. I may have previewed it but then forgot about it. This time around, I actually found the melody to be extremely catchy and when I read what the inspiration behind the song was (in Zac's own words: "The song is about a moment all nerds know, when you are playing an online video game and your friend is AFK... oh the pain." TBH: I don't play video games and I had no idea what AFK meant so I googled it. For all us non-video gamers it is apparently an acronym for "Away From Keyboard." So there you go) I immediately thought of my brother, haha! Zac's personality has always reminded me of my brother (super funny, loves video games and "nerdy" movies such as Star Wars & Lord of the Rings, they're both really good at art, loves comics, the list goes on). I am planning on sending this song to him to see what he thinks, lol. I hope he likes it!
So basically, this is just a really funny song that made me smile and think of my brother :) Thanks Zac!
