New Song Challenge: What If

Today I found this song by doing a random youtube search! If you don't know by now, I am a hopeless romantic. I love LOVE. But I've yet to experience or find love of my own. I mean, to be honest I haven't really tried because I'm so afraid. I'm afraid of putting myself out there. And yes, I'm afraid of falling in love. Or not being loved back. Of being "unlovable." I don't love myself. I need to learn to accept and love me before I can really even begin to hope to fall in love or have someone fall in love with me. This song just kind of pulled on my "romantic hopes, dreams and wishes" heartstrings after listening to the beginning and have decided this is the song for me today. Maybe, just maybe, by the end of 2017 or by this time next year, I can come back to this post and see if any of my "What If's" have come true or changed or at least improved. This song sounds like it's one of romantic, wishful thinking and that suits me perfectly!

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling. Being weighed-down by the burdens and challenges life brings to each and every one of us.
