Grateful For Music Challenge Day 17
Song: Hallelujah
Artist: Pentatonix
I've been trying to hold off and wait to post this song come December 1st but I just can't wait any longer! And to be honest, it's been really hard for me to come up with songs for this challenge since I have been listening to a lot of Christmas music already but I don't want to post any of it yet! Today my local radio station finally started playing Christmas music (it usually starts the day after Halloween but that wasn't the case this year.....typical since I was in the mood for Christmas music a lot sooner this year than I am most years) so I listened to that a lot today. I'm just so excited!! Also, I found it totally appropriate considering it SNOWED for the first time this holidays season!!! AHHH!! And it was A LOT of snow!! So exciting!!
Anyway, this song is GORGEOUS! As usual PTX slays! They're arrangements are always so perfect, it baffles my mind! They know how to balance every one's voices so perfectly. I'll be honest, I've been listening to this song since before Halloween! And I'm finally posting it today :) Yay!! Happy Holidays!
I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do ya?
Well it goes like this
The fourth, the fifth, the minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
That David played and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do ya?
Well it goes like this
The fourth, the fifth, the minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Well, your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty in the moonlight overthrew ya
She tied you to the kitchen chair
She broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips, she drew the Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Well, your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty in the moonlight overthrew ya
She tied you to the kitchen chair
She broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips, she drew the Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Well baby I've been here before
I've seen this room and I've walked this floor
I used to live alone before I knew ya
And I've seen your flag on the marble arch
And love is not a vict'ry march
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Well, maybe there's a God above
But all I've ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew ya
And it's not a cry that you hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
