A Month of Love Songs!

In honor of the "month of love" I have decided to give myself a holiday challenge! I am going to post a love song EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. in February! That's right, daily musical, love posts every day in February <3

I know my blog has been seriously depressed since this new year began. Not the way I wanted it to start off. I do apologize for that. But, it's a new month, therefore, one of my favorite things, a fresh start. And for my fresh start of 2016 it's going to be all about the L.O.V.E! I am a hopeless and desperate romantic who LOVES the idea of love. I have not, as of yet, had the opportunity to experience love in any way, shape or form (at least, that romantic love I crave, books and movies have to fill in the void for now) but I know someday, if I remain hopeful and keep my dreams alive, someday it will happen for me! My perfect match, my dream man, the love of my life is out there! We both just have to be patient until the day arrives when we will finally meet <3

I may not always only post "romantic" love songs (though those are my favorite kind and so expect the majority to be those type) but other forms of love are special and important to me as well. Being a single lady does not mean I lack love in my life. It makes me extra appreciative of the love I do have in my life from my friends, "kids" and especially my family. <3 I have a lot of people I love. And I am grateful for that.

So, let's get this show on the road! First up, today's song had to be a really powerful love song because we are kicking off the official season of "love," and I have chosen.....an MJ song!! Haha. I do love my MJ! But in all seriousness this song is adorable! It makes me feel so happy and giddy when I listen to it and it makes me hopeful for love! One day, I hope to experience the feelings this song describes. In fact, I can see this song being played at my wedding reception! A fun, upbeat, lovey-dovey, googly eyes, type of song you can really get down to!

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling.
