Grateful for Music! Challenge

I LOVE this time of year!! We are getting so close to the holidays and there is a joy and magic in the air that is so exciting! It was very lightly snowing yesterday and I was as giddy as a little kid in a toy store with the magic of the season! Since this is the month of one of my favorite holidays, Thanksgiving, I thought I would do a Gratitude Challenge....Music style! I'm sure you've seen where people write down something they are thankful for every day....well I'm going to be posting a SONG I'm grateful for every day! I know we're already a week into the month, but better late than never, right? I am going to post 7 songs today (to make up for each of the days I have missed)! Please take some time to listen! I am so grateful for music! It truly is my therapy and I'm excited to try this out!

1. Bells of New York City - Josh Groban, Illuminations

For some reason, November is a "Josh Groban" music month for me. I can remember getting this CD, Illuminations, a couple Novembers ago and I listened to it on repeat all.of.the.time. I love the whole album and this song is one of my favorites! It's so beautiful!

2. Hidden Away - Josh Groban, Illuminations

This song is beautiful! I love the lyrics. "And all these words that you meant to say. Held in silence day after day. Words of kindness that our poor hearts crave. Please don't keep them hidden away....Sing it out, so I can finally breathe in, I can take in all you say. Holding out for something I believe in, all I really need today. I want to free your heart, I want to see your heart, please don't keep your heart hidden away....You're a wonder, how bright you shine....a secret dreamer that never shows. If not one sees you then nobody knows." Got a little carried away there but...you see!? Beautiful!

3. Happy in My Heartache  - Josh Groban, All That Echoes

To be honest, ever since we got this album, I never really gave it a good listen. I love the songs Brave, Falling Slowly and Below the Line. But those became the only songs I would listen too! I finally listened to the whole thing a couple days ago and fell in love with this song! I don't know what it is, but this song is so catchy and I find myself constantly singing/humming it to myself. It's a little different from Josh's regular style, but I love it!

 4. Straight to You - Josh Groban, Illuminations

Another "new" Josh song I had never really given a chance before. In fact, I don't think I had ever even listened to this song up until a day or two ago while I was washing a whole bunch of dishes (dishes I neglected after my Halloween baking from last weekend!)

5. E Ti Promettero' - Josh Groban Feat. Laura Pausini, All That Echoes

I don't understand a single word of this song but I LOVE it! It's beautiful and makes me wish I could sing Italian....and sing with Josh :) Gorgeous song!

6. Old Devil Moon - Josh Groban, Stages

Josh's latest album, Stages, is a fantastic, musical treat! There are so many gems, but this one really stands out to me. It's so romantic and Josh's voice makes me swoon ;) Mmmmhmmm

7. All I Ask of You - Josh Groban Duet with Kelly Clarkson, Stages

Told you it's Josh Groban month! I wasn't sure what to think when I first saw that Kelly Clarkson was going to be singing this particular song with Josh. She just doesn't really have that kind of voice, ya know? But once I listened to it a couple times, it quickly became one of my favorites! Josh's voice is still the winner but Kelly's powerful vocals definitely impress!

Stay tuned all month long for more songs that I'm grateful have become a part of my life! I promise they're not all Josh Groban! ;)
