Grateful for Music Challenge Day 15: Gethsemane
Song: Gethsemane
Artist: Rodger & Melanie Hoffman (the writer's)
This song is sooooo beautiful and sweet and really, really touching. The first time I heard it was during a sacrament meeting in April. A cute little girl performed it. This song brings tears to my eyes! I am so grateful for the atoning sacrifice of my Savior Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for his love and forgivness. I know that it is only through Him and because of Him that we can be free from sin. That we can repent. That we will be forgiven. That we are loved beyond our comprehension. Hearing this tender song and thinking of our sweet Savior, is something that brings me immense gratitude. I love Him so much! I am thankful for Him every single day. I am grateful for this song becasue it is just so sweet and touching and reminds me of my Savior's love! Not to mention that sweet, inncoent voice of the young child singing, so beautiful. So pure.
Jesus climbed the hill
To the garden still
His steps were heavy and slow
Love and a prayer
Took Him there
To the place only He could go
Gethsemane
Jesus loves me
So He went willingly
To Gethsemane
Jesus loves me
So He went willingly
To Gethsemane
He felt all that was sad, wicked or bad
All the pain we would ever know
While His friends were asleep
He fought to keep
His promise made long ago
Gethsemane
Jesus loves me
So He went willingly
To Gethsemane
Jesus loves me
So He went willingly
To Gethsemane
The hardest thing That ever was done
The greatest pain that ever was known
The biggest battle that ever was won
This was done by Jesus.
The fight was won by Jesus.
The greatest pain that ever was known
The biggest battle that ever was won
This was done by Jesus.
The fight was won by Jesus.
Gethsemane
Jesus loves me
So he gave His gift to me
In Gethsemane
Gethsemane
Jesus loves me
So he gives His gift to me
From Gethsemane
Jesus loves me
So he gave His gift to me
In Gethsemane
Gethsemane
Jesus loves me
So he gives His gift to me
From Gethsemane
