Grateful for Music Challenge Day 12: Will You Be There

This song has been on my mind (in my ears!) a lot lately. I've been listening to it almost daily, paying close attention the lyrics and message. It is a wonderful message! Maybe it's becasue I have been feeling very....confused. Sad. Lonely. I do believe in God. I believe He is here for me. That He hears me. That He loves me. But dealing with such extreme anxitey (and possibly depression) it is hard to always feel totally at peace and happy. The message of this song, my intepretation, is about someone looking for and yearning to feel God's love and peace. Trying to block out what the world is demanding from them and trying to tell them and asking for divine help ("But they told me, a man should be faithful and walk when not able and fight til the end but I'm only human.....everyone's taking control of me, seems that the world's got a role for me, I'm so confused will you show to me, you'll be there for me and care enough to bear me?). I am grateful for this song because of the beautiful message that God is there. In our times of despair, pain and lonliness. It has been a comfort for me in my life. It has brought me peace. It helps remind me that God is there for us, will we be there for Him?

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling. Being weighed-down by the burdens and challenges life brings to each and every one of us.
